This  is a popular belief that will improve with regular practice sessions,  your memory and other cognitive skills such as problem solving and  mathematical skills. But is that really true? Has this ever been tested under controlled experimental conditions, or is it just wishful thinking?</p>

<p>The volunteers were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The first group has to improve a wide range of brain exercises, including memory devices, for ten minutes a day for six weeks. Since the tasks were on the Internet, the control group used only the Internet for the same period. At  the end of the probationary period, group brain-training has been on  brain exercises tested and was rated better by 33 percent in the  performance of brain-games they had trained.</p>

Both groups of participants were on these skills, both before trial and then tested. The average score for both groups was identical in advance.</p>

It was only a 6.52 percent more than their original score. Therefore, statistically there was no difference between the two groups.
